As part of our focus on collaboration and the Industry 4.0 revolution, we often with work with other leading suppliers to supply overall solutions, both directly and indirectly.

At the Machine Tool Industry show (MACH 2018) earlier in the year, a manufacturer of innovative systems for process optimisation as and industrial signal devices – WERMA – needed demonstration units to be built to show off their new systems.

So, we constructed a full-scale flow-rack that allowed them to demonstrate their product StockSaver, a Kanban stock movement monitoring system with automatic stock replenishment functions.

Two other units were also built to simulate a factory manufacturing cell (and workstations) allowing for a second system SmartMonitor to be shown to visitors to the stand. SmartMonitor is a wireless system for monitoring machine up and downtime and can also be deployed as a manually operated call-for-action system on manual workbenches.

These custom-built systems had to be practical for transport, but “real-world” enough to show off the WERMA technology and give an authentic feel of how this can be applied in real industry.

Gary Livingstone of MiniTec:

“The world is demanding improved productivity and maximum versatility of their production lines. Working with Werma shows the world we have the solutions and are ready to help whenever needed”
